Requirements

A phone with Android 10 or later and an internet connection.

What the test version can do

  • End-to-end encrypted one-to-one and group chats.
  • Voice and video calls.
  • Translation of messages, voice messages and calls.
  • Adding people by QR code, with no phone number needed to sign up.

Compared with the iPhone app

Work on Android was paused to finish the iPhone version first, so some iPhone features, such as chat backup, app lock and safety numbers, are not listed for Android yet. This page lists only what the Android build does.

Can I join the Android test?

The test is invitation-only for now. There is no public sign-up.

Will Android users be able to talk to iPhone users?

Chats and calls happen between AiThao accounts, whatever the phone.
